What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They allow the website to recognise your device and remember certain information about your visit. We use cookies only to make this website function securely and to respect your stated preferences.
Cookies We Use
We use the minimum number of cookies necessary to operate this website safely and to remember your cookie preference. Analytics cookies are loaded only after you explicitly accept them via the cookie banner. We do not use advertising cookies of any kind.
Essential cookies are always active and do not require consent:
| Cookie name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
PHPSESSID |
Essential | Session management. Required for security features on our contact form, including Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) protection. Does not store any personal data beyond a random session identifier. | Session (deleted when you close your browser, or after 2 hours of inactivity) |
ga_consent |
Essential (preference) | Stores your cookie consent decision (accepted or declined) so we do not show the cookie notice on every page visit. | 365 days |
Analytics cookies are set only after you click "Accept" on the cookie banner. If you click "Decline non-essential" or take no action, these cookies are not set and our analytics scripts do not load:
| Cookie name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga |
Analytics | Set by Google Analytics 4. Used to distinguish unique visitors by assigning a randomly generated identifier. Helps us understand aggregate visitor numbers and which pages are read. IP addresses are anonymised before processing. | 2 years |
_ga_<measurement-id> |
Analytics | Set by Google Analytics 4. Preserves session state between page views. The suffix is the measurement ID of our GA4 property. | 2 years |
You can withdraw analytics consent at any time by clearing the ga_consent cookie in your browser, after which the cookie banner will reappear on your next visit and you can choose again.
Third-Party Cookies
Our contact form is protected by Google reCAPTCHA v3, an invisible spam-detection service. reCAPTCHA may set its own cookies and collect device and browser information when the contact form page is loaded. This data is processed by Google LLC under their Privacy Policy. reCAPTCHA is loaded only on the Contact page and not on any other page of this website.
Analytics cookies described above are also set by Google LLC, in their capacity as our data processor for website analytics, under their Privacy Policy.
Managing Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Please note that disabling the PHPSESSID session cookie will prevent our contact form from functioning correctly. Guidance on managing cookies in popular browsers:
